Rukmini Iyer is the bestselling author of The Roasting Tin series, selling over 1.75 million copies to date worldwide. Her books include ‘The Roasting Tin’; ‘The Green Roasting Tin’, ‘The Quick Roasting Tin’, ‘The Roasting Tin Around the World’, ‘The Green Barbecue,’ ‘The Sweet Roasting Tin’, ‘India Express’ and ‘The Green Cookbook’.

Rukmini is a food writer, formerly a lawyer, and loves creating delicious and easy recipes with minimum fuss and maximum flavour. Working in food and on her feet all day, she realised that the meals she made when she got home grew simpler - often in just one roasting tin - and that there were ways of packing flavour and interest into the dishes with minimum effort/standing up in the kitchen. This became the inspiration for her bestselling books.

When she's not writing her weekly Guardian column or cookbooks, Rukmini writes and creates content for numerous brands and publications including BBC Gardener’s World Magazine, Ocado and BBC Food, formerly working as a food stylist & home economist for editorial, television commercials & feature films. She cooks regularly on morning television, including BBC Saturday Kitchen and This Morning

Rukmini lives with her husband Tim, their daughters and border collie in London, and enjoys entertaining (both people and the dog), gardening and interior design. She supports the charities Women's Aid, Refuge, Shelter, Crisis & The Dog’s Trust.
